WWE.com have posted an update following the arrest of Lana and Bobby Lashley on last night's episode of WWE RAW, confirming that the pair have been released from a Nashville jail. The story has now been updated, revealing that Lana has released a statement in the wake of Monday night's incidents.
“How can I be arrested by an off-duty police officer, hired by me, to protect myself?” the statement read.
Lashley was arrested after he bumped an officer on his way out. And when Lana protested by slapping a police officer, she was arrested too.
The arrests were particularly unusual because the officers in question had been hired by the Ravishing Russian herself. She had asked for protection after confirming that she had taken out a restraining order on Rusev.

The Bulgarian Brute was in the thick of the action too, having stormed the ring and attacked Lashley. The police officers had slowly approached the ring in response, but took no action as they were aware of the entire situation.
I had interviewed Lashley ahead of WWE Live in Glasgow. We discussed the two-time Intercontinental Champion's run with Lio Rush, and which celebrities he'd like to face in a WrestleMania match if given the chance. You can watch the entire interview below.
