WWE and pro wrestling is an industry unlike any other. The lifestyle of a pro wrestler blends aspects of professional sports, traveling entertainers, rockstars, and Hollywood actors. As a result, it can be chaotic and tough on one's love life.
This has led many performers in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut to date or even marry each other. Being able to share a relationship with someone who knows the lifestyle and who might even travel with you makes life a little easier.
There are many big and well-known couples in World Wrestling Entertainment. The likes of Jimmy Uso and Naomi, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair and Andrade, and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are some of the wrestling couples fans know and love.
Still, there are sometimes rumors of wrestlers dating that just turn out to be false. This could be due to fan theories gone rogue or characters playing roles on television and the audience believing those roles to be true. This article will look at a handful of suspected couples that weren't actually true.
Top WWE star blasted, compared to Winnie the Pooh RIGHT HERE
Below are five WWE dating rumors that just weren't true.
#5. Damian Priest and former WWE star Lana, aka CJ Perry
Damian Priest is one of the top babyfaces on Monday Night RAW. Until SummerSlam, he was the World Heavyweight Champion. However, The Archer of Infamy was dethroned by Gunther and is now looking to regain his gold.
CJ Perry is a former WWE star who used to work under the ring name Lana. While in the Stamford-based company, she was known as The Ravishing Russian and was closely linked with the likes of Nic Nemeth (FKA Dolph Ziggler), Bobby Lashley, and her ex-husband Rusev. Priest and Lana don't have any notable history on-screen.
Earlier this year, the former Lana and The Punisher were seen together, and fans have speculated that they have been together ever since. However, CJ recently revealed that were not a couple.
#4. Mandy Rose and the former Dolph Ziggler
Mandy Rose is a former WWE star who was notably fired a few years ago just after she lost the NXT Women's Championship to Roxanne Perez. Prior to that run, she was part of Absolution on the main roster.
Nic Nemeth (FKA Dolph Ziggler) is a former World Heavyweight Champion. While Nemeth was released by WWE in 2023, he spent the better part of the last two decades in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut, a run very few can ever hope to match. Nemeth and Mandy had a brief run together on television a few years ago.
When Mandy had a storyline with Otis, she was eventually "stolen" by the erstwhile Dolph Ziggler. In a disappointing update to some shipping the pair, Nic and Mandy never actually dated. Instead, it was just a storyline.
#3. Xavier Woods and Zelina Vega
Xavier Woods is one of the most loved stars of the modern era. As a member of The New Day, Woods has been part of one of the top stables in WWE history. However, he and Kofi Kingston are currently teasing a split.
Zelina Vega is a popular female star. While she has yet to hold a major singles title, Vega is a former Queen of the Ring and has held the WWE Women's Tag Team Title alongside Carmella. Notably, there isn't much of a link between Zelina and Woods outside of UpUpDownDown content and cosplay.
Several years ago, rumors began to emerge tying the former King of the Ring and the LWO member together. These rumors turned out to be false, as both Xavier and Zelina have been in committed relationships for quite some time now.
#2. Bayley and Finn Balor
Bayley is arguably the most successful female superstar in WWE history. While Becky Lynch headlined WrestleMania and Charlotte Flair won more titles, Bayley is a Grand Slam winner who has captured virtually every belt and achieved nearly every accolade possible over the past decade.
Finn Balor is a member of the WWE Monday Night RAW roster. He is a former Universal Champion. Additionally, Balor holds the World Tag Team Title alongside JD McDonagh. Balor and Bayley were often seen hanging out together, especially when both were on NXT.
The Prince and The Role Model were just real-life friends who goofed around together, which led to fans believing they were actually a couple. In fact, even the families of the two talented stars believed it, leading to Bayley revealing the truth.
#1. Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman
Alexa Bliss has been away from WWE television since January 2023, but prior to her absence, she was a top star in the company. Bliss held both the RAW and SmackDown Women's Titles. She is also a multi-time tag team champion.
Braun Strowman is one of the most imposing stars in WWE today. He joined the main roster via The Wyatt Family and went on to become the Intercontinental Champion, the RAW Tag Team Champion, and even the Universal Champion. Bliss and Braun were well known for their time together in the Mixed Match Challenge.
While the two never actually dated, their chemistry was used for a storyline several years ago, which contributed to many fans believing they were actually together. However, that wasn't the case, and today, Alexa is married and has a child.
