NXT North American Champion, Keith Lee will be defending his title against the rebellious Johnny Gargano this Sunday at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. The rivalry between the two has been very personal as both their real-life partners Mia Yim and Candice LeRae, also got involved in the feud.
On last week's episode of NXT, Mia Yim and Candice LeRae fought each other, but the match soon took a different path as first Johnny Gargano and then Keith Lee came out to the ring. This resulted in NXT taking a page out of its main roster counterpart's book and booked a mixed tag team match between the four of them.
While Lee was dominating Gargano initially, the former NXT Champion used his keys to scratch Lee's eyes. The distraction was enough for Candice to roll-up Mia Yim to pick up the victory for her team. But this was not all, as Johnny Gargano kicked the steps with Keith Lee's fingers trapped in them.
