After having empty arena shows for a couple of months due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, WWE took a page from All Elite Wrestling's book and have started using NXT Superstars and Performance Center talents as a temporary audience for all their shows.

These Superstars are placed in the audience, behind plexiglass and stand and cheer for the Superstars performing in the ring while maintaining the norms of social distancing. There have been reports of the talent not very happy with the kind of effort they are being asked to put as they have to spend hours standing as the crowd during WWE tapings. But one former NXT alumni showed them their appreciation through a very sweet gesture.

As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Nikki Cross bought pizza for all the NXT talents working as the audience as a token of appreciation to thank them for their efforts. This was certainly a great gesture from the SmackDown Superstar and would have uplifted the spirits of the talent.

As for Nikki, she recently lost her Women's Tag Team Championships with Alexa Bliss to Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women's Champion, Bayley. It is to be seen whether they inject themselves back into the title picture!
