WWE will be hosting the 2025 Royal Rumble soon, and all eyes are on the two Royal Rumble matches. Fans love guessing who could win the 30-person bout, and next year's Men's Royal Rumble match seems highly unpredictable. That said, a legendary former champion could have his hand raised at the event.

John Cena could be the one who wins it all after seven years. This would add to his already incredible resume of 16 world titles, five reigns as the United States Champion, and four runs with team tag gold. He is currently the odds-on favorite to do exactly that.

According to reports, BetOnline currently lists The Cenation Leader as the favorite to win the big-time match. While things can change over the next two months, as of now the 25-time champion is the frontrunner to win the annual bout.

The last time John Cena wrestled in a Royal Rumble match was in 2018. Meanwhile, he hasn't won the annual bout for even longer. It will be 12 years since he last won the Royal Rumble match by the time the 2025 event comes around, making a potential victory an even bigger deal. WWE could even keep his participation in the high-stakes a surprise to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

John Cena could tie a Royal Rumble record held by a WWE Hall of Famer

The Cenation Leader is no stranger to the Royal Rumble match. He has competed in eight traditional Royal Rumble matches and a SmackDown Rumble. Impressively, Cena has won two of the 30-man matches.

Cena won the WWE bout in 2008 and 2013. Very few names can claim to have two Royal Rumble wins, including Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Batista, Randy Orton, Edge, and Cody Rhodes.

If Cena were to win the 2025 edition of the Men's Royal Rumble match, he'd join a more exclusive list. Only one man has won the Royal Rumble three times: WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Cena could tie Austin in wins if he reigns supreme next year. Given that he is retiring in 2025, it would mean he'd never break the Hall of Famer's record. Cena also currently shares 16 world title wins alongside Ric Flair. He is truly proving himself to be The Greatest of All Time.
