Bron Breakker has been on a dominant run as the Intercontinental Champion on Monday Night RAW. He squashed every superstar who stepped up against him and stood tall as an indestructible force. With the 27-year-old seeking a fresh challenger, a legendary star could make a shocking return on the red brand and confront Breakker.
The star in question is AJ Styles. Then Phenomenal One has been away from television since October this year after suffering a Lisfranc fracture during his match with Carmelo Hayes. However, he was reportedly backstage at TNA's recent tapings in Atlanta, Georgia without any crutches or boots, which could be a positive indication of his impending return to WWE.
Meanwhile, Bron Breakker has been stuck in the same feud with Sheamus and Kaiser on RAW for the last couple of months as if both stars are an inseparable part of his title run. In one way or the other, he finds himself surrounded by The Celtic Warrior and the Imperium member. WWE tried every possible permutation and combination for matches involving the three stars.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
With Breakker desperately in need of a fresh feud, AJ Styles returning and challenging him for the Intercontinental Championship could stir things up. However, the chances of it happening are relatively low as Styles is reportedly not 100% yet. The WWE Universe may have to wait a little longer to see the veteran star on WWE television again.
Besides, The Phenomenal One is expected to remain on SmackDown whenever he comes back. Monday Night RAW already has a stacked roster and stars like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are rumored to move there next year. AJ Styles following the suit could be a huge blow to the blue brand, which is why he is not likely to cross paths with Bron Breakker anytime soon.
Bron Breakker to lose his Intercontinental Title before Royal Rumble 2025?
Ever since winning the Intercontinental Championship Bron Breakker has been unstoppable. Regardless of his red-hot momentum, the company has been struggling to provide The Dog of WWE with credible opponents and fresh storylines. Amid this dilemma, could the creative be forced to take the title off him before next year's Royal Rumble?
It does not seem very likely. Breakker's title reign has just started to take off and several dream matches and incredible feuds are yet to happen. The WWE Universe has been anticipating some blockbuster encounters in his Intercontinental Championship run involving veterans like Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.
Taking the title away from the 27-year-old at this point may not be a good decision and WWE is seemingly aware of it. This championship reign has the potential to act as a springboard that could establish Bron Breakker as a top-tier star and catapult him into the main event picture.
Therefore, there is very little possibility of the Intercontinental Championship disappearing from his shoulder before Royal Rumble 2025. Will Triple H pull off a huge shocker with Bron? Only time will tell.
