Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory, Paige, and the evolution of women's wrestling [Exclusive]

Lilian Garcia will never close the door on WWE

Something that happened recently that seemed to be more controversial than anticipated was Becky Lynch saying the best thing for women's wrestling would be to remove the word "women's" - which has seemingly happened with the NXT Women's Championship now being called the NXT Championship. What do you think of that decision and just eradicating the word "women's" before wrestling?

Okay, I didn't get to see her on WWE Backstage but it's almost saying the same thing I'm saying, right? Where it's just normal.

We don't say, "And here's the Men's World Champion," you know? I think that's what she's trying to point out. It's just a normal acceptance and not something separated.

Finally, let's return to Chasing Glory. You said earlier that I asked a loaded question, this might be more loaded - what lies ahead for you with regards to Chasing Glory, and do you have any upcoming guests you can tell us about?

Chasing Glory continues to have its own Evolution, and that's a beautiful thing, and that's because of the fans and the Superstars making this show so successful.

We recently went to video, which was a big step, and you can see the show on YouTube - YouTube.com/LilianGarcia

We made it simple in the fact that we have ChasingGlory.com where you can either listen or watch the show, but I always love to tell people that you can follow @ChasingGlory on Instagram because, on Fridays, we have what we call Glory Friday, where we announce who's next on that Monday show. And it's fun for people, they're like, "It's so cool, I can't wait for Friday to find out who's coming up on Monday!"

So, it's almost like I don't want to tell you who's coming up because that'll give that away, but I will say that I'm definitely going to continue getting more Superstars on the show, but I also like to ge other athletes, other entertainers, wellness coaches - sprinkle all these people in.

Even though some of the fans might not know who they are, I feel like their stories are so powerful, that you can always, always learn from someone, even if you don't know who they are.

When you give yourself the opportunity to listen to someone else's journey, you can pick nuggets out of it and then apply it to your life - and that's what we're all here for, it's to help each other out because I've said this before, we don't have a roadmap in this life, and the more that we can help each other with, "Hey, this worked for me, why don't you try this? Okay, this worked for me, why don't you try this?" then the more joyous our journey, here on this Earth, can be.

And the one thing about wrestling fans is they love a compelling story, so if you're bringing that to them - no matter who it's from - you know they're going to like it!
