I have the champion's mark next to Jeff Hardy because he is still champion at the time of this being written, but the United States Championship could likely change at Extreme Rules if Hardy and Nakamura – who are both shaking off injuries – can make the match in the upcoming weeks.

If the match at Extreme Rules is a go and we see Nakamura defeat Hardy, this bout could be an exciting followup from Extreme Rules. If not, the match could get a long build-up where the now face paint-clad Hardy tries to avoid Nakamura's dastardly heel antics.
