WWE Pay-Per-View or Premium Live Events are the most highly anticipated events in the world of professional wrestling. These events take place monthly and serve as the culmination of storylines that unfold on RAW and SmackDown every week.
Although the WWE boasts a massive roster of talented wrestlers, only a limited number of matches can take place during each Pay-Per-View event. As a result, every superstar strives to earn their spot on the card for each monthly event, but only a select few succeed in doing so consistently.
These elite wrestlers have managed to compete in numerous Pay-Per-View matches, not just for one or two years, but for an impressive span of one or two decades. By achieving this feat, they earn a place on the coveted list of WWE's all-time most prolific PPV performers.
Which WWE Superstar has competed in the most PPV matches?
The WWE Superstar with the most PPV matches in WWE history is Randy Orton. The Viper has competed in an astonishing 181 Pay-Per-View matches throughout his WWE career, earning him the distinction of being WWE's all-time leader in PPV appearances. Orton's incredible talent and dedication have allowed him to consistently secure a spot on the card for nearly two decades, competing in high-profile matches against some of the biggest names in the industry.
It all started when he partook in an Elimination Chamber match at SummerSlam 2003 where he faced the likes of Triple H, Chris Jericho, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and Shawn Michaels. While he failed to chalk the victory in that match, it was clear that he was a promising superstar and he did not fail any expectations throughout his career.
The Apex Predator is currently out of action as of May 2023 due to an injury and it's not known as to when he will return. The last time he wrestled was at a PPV only. He faced The Usos and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash 2022 in a losing effort alongside Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle.
