WWE has booked a huge title match for Money in the Bank 2024 that will see Damian Priest put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Seth Rollins. The Architect recently returned on RAW for the first time since losing the title at WrestleMania XL, following which he underwent surgery.

Fans are excited to see Rollins back on television, and he now has a shot at reclaiming his gold. Although The Architect had a legendary run with the championship, dethroning Priest would not be the right decision.

The two superstars also have a gentleman's agreement ahead of this match, according to which Rollins cannot challenge for the title again as long as Priest is the champion. However, a loss for The Archer of Infamy would have to see him leave The Judgment Day.

Here, we look at the three biggest reasons why Seth Rollins should not win the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank. So, without further ado, let's begin.

#1 Seth Rollins can afford to lose at Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins returned to WWE and immediately set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship. The Architect initially wanted to compete for the Money in the Bank briefcase but was given a direct title shot instead. Although he has been missed on the red brand, he doesn't necessarily need to remain in the championship picture.

If Rollins fails to dethrone Damian Priest in their upcoming match, he cannot challenge for the title as long as The Archer of Infamy remains the champion. The title may change hands soon, giving Rollins a great opportunity to pursue the gold again. For now, he could engage in feuds with other top superstars on RAW. Moreover, he doesn't necessarily need a title to keep his storylines interesting.

#2 Damian Priest needs a successful title defense for credibility on WWE RAW

Damian Priest last defended his title at Clash at the Castle against Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior was inches away from a fairytale win until CM Punk interfered and cost him the match. But before that, McIntyre notably had Priest's shoulders pinned to the mat for ten seconds. Priest would not have stayed champion if Punk hadn't decided to scr*w over McIntyre again.

Seth Rollins argued that despite Priest's claims, he needed The Judgment Day to help him win his matches. The Archer of Infamy is desperate to prove his legitimacy as a top champion. He could use a big win over The Architect at Money in the Bank to add to his credibility as the top titleholder on WWE RAW.

#3 Finn Balor and The Judgment Day to betray Damian Priest soon?

Damian Priest made a bold statement when he claimed The Judgment Day needed him more than he needed them, especially since he was the champion. The Archer of Infamy has implied this opinion in the past, especially while forcing his leadership on the group.

WWE has been flaming the tension between Finn Balor and Damian Priest. The latter should retain his gold at Money in the Bank to set up a huge betrayal that will likely see The Prince attack Priest.

JD McDonagh will likely side with Finn Balor, and they might find an ally in Liv Morgan, who is desperate to win over the group. It would set up an interesting choice for Dominik Mysterio while also laying the groundwork for an epic title feud between Damian Priest and Balor.
