Malfunction with flag of Rusev, what happened post Smackdown

In this week’s tapings for SmackDown from Newark, New Jersey, it was Rusev vs Neville, with Lana in Rusev’s corner. Apparently, there was some sort of a mishap when the flag or Bulgaria with Rusev’s face imprinted on it didn’t come down as was planned, from the rafters.

It is an integral part of the ‘Bulgrian Brute’ gimmick where when Rusev, following his match, poses while the flag falls down from the rafters. However, this time, the flag got stuck and the whole thing didn’t come down as is the norm.

To cover up the malfunction, Rusev waved around the flag that he normally walks to the ring with.

After the show went off air, as was seen for the tapings, the League of Nations came out to attack Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose. The Usos ran into aid the babyfaces while Kevin Owens scurried back.

The heels were getting the upperhand on the faces, when the music of the WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns hit, to a positive reception. The new WWE world champ aided the babyfaces to thwart the bad guys and send the crowd in attendance home happy.
