WWE is on fire lately. There are seemingly more stars in the company than at any point since the Attitude Era and business is booming. Despite that, several big names are away, which means the promotion could hit even higher heights as they return.

While names such as Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley should all make a major impact upon their return, arguably the biggest star absent is The Rock. The People's Champion took some time off following WrestleMania XL to focus on Hollywood commitments.

Despite leaving, The Great One made it clear that he is going to be returning and many fans believe he will be competing at WrestleMania next year. For all anybody knows, however, his return could come even sooner than that.

This article will take a look at a handful of pieces of unfinished business that The People's Champion must deal with upon his return. This includes a massive world title match, a dream feud, and beyond.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Below are four pieces of unfinished business The Rock must conclude when he returns to WWE.

#4. The Rock and Cody Rhodes must fight over the Undisputed WWE Championship

Cody Rhodes is the top active babyface currently in WWE. He returned to the Stamford-based promotion in 2022 after having previously left to find his true potential. Things have clearly worked out in his favor, as he is now a world champion who defeated Roman Reigns at The Show of Shows.

As noted, The Rock took some time off after WrestleMania XL, but his most recent appearance came on the fallout edition of WWE RAW after The Show of Shows. It was there that he made it clear that he was not done with Cody Rhodes and the two would clash in the future.

The Rock noted that while Cody's story with Roman Reigns may be over, their story was only just beginning. If that is true, it would make sense that Rhodes and The Rock feud and fight over the world title upon The Final Boss' return to television.

#3. His feud with Roman Reigns needs to officially start

Roman Reigns may be the man who overtakes Cody Rhodes' spot as the most popular babyface soon. Despite being a heel since 2020, The Tribal Chief is getting more and more over with the WWE Universe while being absent from television.

Just like The Rock, Roman went on a hiatus following his loss to Cody Rhodes on Night Two of WrestleMania XL. Interestingly, the two had quite the journey before that. They were seemingly set to clash at The Show of Shows but instead aligned and were members of The Bloodline together.

Still, a feud between the two is a dream for many fans and is the potential goal of the promotion. The Rock must return to television to finally get this storyline started properly. The pair would likely headline WrestleMania 41 together if the story is booked well enough.

#2. The Rock needs to unite with Solo Sikoa's Bloodline

The Bloodline has changed dramatically since WrestleMania XL. The Rock and Roman Reigns went on a hiatus and Jimmy Uso was forcefully kicked out of the heel faction by Solo Sikoa. However, that is not it for the changes to the WWE stable.

Sikoa, acting as The Tribal Chief, has brought in three new stars to WWE and The Bloodline. Tama Tonga was the first to show up, soon followed by Tonga Loa. Most recently, Jacob Fatu has arrived. While all four are dangerous together, some believe there is a higher power at work.

There is a very real chance that The Rock is the one pulling the strings. If that is indeed the case, The Final Boss must return and officially unite with this new-look Bloodline. He would put his stamp on the group and make them bigger stars than they are now.

#1. He needs to have one final confrontation with Stone Cold Steve Austin

The clash between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL was epic for many reasons, but one was courtesy of others showing up and getting involved. The Rock, John Cena, The Undertaker, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Seth Rollins all made cameos during the bout.

Most of these appearances made sense, but The Undertaker's arrival was a bit of a headscratcher. Many WWE fans had speculated that Stone Cold Steve Austin would be the one to show up and confront The Rock as a throwback to their three-match series at past WrestleMania events.

It never happened and The Deadman was in the predicted role for Austin. Still, The Texas Rattlesnake and The Final Boss could end up having one last confrontation whenever the latter does return. This would allow the two legends to have a bit of on-screen closure after decades apart from one another.
