Matthew Fredrick Riddle is an American Professional Wrestler and former Mixed Martial Artist, who is currently signed with WWE under the ring name Matt Riddle. He is currently a part of the Raw brand and is one of the biggest babyfaces of the company. Riddle started his career as a Mixed Martial Artist and appeared in The Ultimate Fighter 7 and UFC. However Riddle got fired from the company when he was found positive for smoking Marijuana in 2013. However he continued fighting in Titan FC until 2014 and shifted his focus to pro-wrestling. Riddle has a MMA record of 8 wins and 3 losses.
His pro-wrestling career started with training from the Monster Factory. Riddle worked for various independent promotions including Pro-Wrestling Guerilla, World Wrestling Network/Evolve, Progress Atlas Wrestling, IWA Mid-South, Pro-Wrestling Chaos and so on. Where he won the Evolve Championship, WWN Championship, PWG World Tag Team Championship and Progress Atlas Championship.
In July 2018 Riddle got signed with WWE and made his debut for the company in NXT. Similar to MMA he started wrestling with bare foot and was portrayed as a carefree barefoot surfer valley boy. Riddle had a two year long run in NXT, where he was a one time NXT Tag Team Champion with Pete Dunne (Butch).
Riddle got main roster exposure when he was wrestling for NXT, Riddle was a part of Team NXT in the Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team match but his team lost to Team SmackDown. Riddle entered his first Royal Rumble as the 23rd entrant but got eliminated by Baron Corbin in 41 seconds.
In May 2020, Riddle was called for his main roster run and became part of the SmackDown brand. After a brief run in SmackDown, he was drafted to the Raw brand and his ring name was cut short to Riddle. Riddle on the main roster became the biggest baby face with a huge fanbase. Riddle became the United States Champion by defeating one of the biggest heels Bobby Lashley. Riddle then went on to feud with Randy Orton which eventually turned into a tag team. They both formed a successful Tag Team named "RK-Bro" by combining the "RKO & Original Bro". RK-Bro are two time Raw Tag Team Champions, however after Orton got injured and written off from television, Riddle is now teaming up with Drew McIntyre and is teasing of forming a team named "Glos-Bros".
