As seen earlier on Monday Night Raw last night, Michael Cole wasn’t a part of the announcers’ team as Booker T and JBL called the matches who were also joined by Byron Saxton.
It was announced in the pre-show that Cole would be missing Raw and kept off TV for another week in order to sell Brock Lesnar’s F5 which he received last week. Apparently, there was some heat on WWE for bringing Cole back so soon after suffering a storyline neck injury that they played up to be so serious.
Also, regarding Lesnar’s assault on Cole last week, it has been speculated that the ringside announcer may take legal action against The Beast when he returns to Raw, probably next week. WWE gave the following teaser on the matter.
"While The Beast Incarnate has already been suspended indefinitely by Stephanie McMahon, reports are surfacing that Cole is threatening legal action against the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As a result, one has to wonder whether there will be additional fallout over the incident? Will The Authority chose, for instance, to take Paul Heyman to task for any instigation that he may have caused as Brock's advocate? Will extra precautions be taken to assure that this type of carnage will does not happen again? Or, will it just be about getting back on track, with Extreme Rules only weeks away?"
Here is the video of Lesnar taking out Cole and his fellow announcers on the post-Wrestlemania Raw show.
