Mick Foley: "Sammartino would've been just fine"

Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert Host Joint Rallies On The Mall

In a recent interview, WWE legend Mick Foley talked about the difference between the current era and the Attitude era. He also spoke about how Bruno Sammartino would have performed if he was still wrestling.

Mick Foley said that there is a lot difference between the current era and the Attitude era. When asked how the Attitude era stars like The Rock and Stone Cold would have performed if they were actually part of the current era, he said that they would have done just fine.

He went to say that stars of the past, like the recent inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Bruno Sammartino, would have also done well if they were part of the current era. Bruno is a fellow inductee of Foley, who were both part of the 2013 class to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Foley said “Bruno Sammartino’s name is thrown around a lot, yeah. He knew how to connect, he knew how to get over with an audience. He would’ve been just fine.”
