When Dean Ambrose returned to WWE in 2017, it opened doors for having a Shield triple threat match at WrestleMania 35. It would have been an amazing match, but Reigns’ unfortunate illness didn’t allow doing so. Ambrose turned heel against Rollins and feuded with him, but things could have been great if Reigns wasn’t diagnosed with Leukemia. And at WrestleMania 35, we could have witnessed a match between The Shield’s members for the Universal Championship.

It could have also prevented Ambrose to leave WWE since this storyline would have kept him in the main event scene. Now, the Lunatic Fringe has left WWE, and Jox Moxley has returned. But according to reports, he could return to WWE in 6 months.

Most probably, he would find himself in the main event scene like before, and we could finally see Reigns vs. Ambrose vs. Rollins at WrestleMania 36 for the Universal Title. If this is going to happen, then The Kingslayer may not lose the title to Styles at MITB and rather have a lengthy reign.
