Monday Night Raw: Questions and Answers

Big E. Langston gets a big push

Who was more impressive Monday Night, Big E. Langston or Tyson Kidd: I really never was a fan of Tyson Kidd. Not because i don’t enjoy his work inside the ring, but because i have never actually seen him perform until last Monday night. The man was electric in his debut, with a great arsenal of aerial moves, and a quickness that rivals any superstar on the WWE roster.

The problem i have though is with the quality of your opponent. on Monday night, Big E Langston held his own in a match with the reigning WWE Champion, even almost finishing him off with “The Big Ending.” While Tyson had a spectacular showing in his match against Fandango and Summer Rae, the match was against a mid-card player who really can’t seem to find a push anywhere.

Maybe it’s just the way the WWE is pushing him right now, but i have to say Langston had the better night, keeping Orton on defense for much of the match, and even used his amazing strength to reverse many of the Vipers key moves. I think Kidd will renew a lot of interest in the mid-card of WWE, but right now, the WWE finally seems intent on pushing Langston.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Is it a good idea to keep Paul Heyman off T.V for awhile: to me, this a worse move by WWE, than taking Daniel Bryan out of the main event picture. Paul Heyman, despite how much he annoys me, is a genius on the microphone, and gave Axel a much needed mouthpiece for his lack of personality. Without Heyman, Curtis Axel’s push will surely come to an end, and will most likely be shipped back to NXT.

I really hope Heyman returns to television soon. Even if it’s with a new client. The WWE just needs their fill of Paul Heyman. He just knows how to invoke rage from a audience, and that what the WWE needs. Without the Walrus whining and complaining about how his client was screwed, or bragging that his client is the next big thing. The WWE will definitely suffer without him.

What WWE superstars return would be Best For Business: Does anyone else miss being called Fella? I have to say, the WWE has not been as interesting without Sheamus. The great white has been out of action for awhile, after suffering a injury during the Money in The Bank All Star Match back in June. Without the Celtic Warrior, the WWE lacks one of their best mid-card baby faces on their roster.

Sheamus has a amazing abilities on the microphone, and has the capability of putting on must see matches, even against less than stellar opponents. If Sheamus returned to the WWE, the baby faces would also have a gain needed teammate to help battle The Authority. Even if he’s not involved in The Authority storyline, he is still a fan favorite in the WWE, and could be used to get the crowd excited at the beginning of shows.

Was Eva Marie winning the match a horrible move? The match would have looked awful regardless of the outcome of the matchup. Anytime you have The Divas champion and the number one contender for the Divas title only getting about two or three moves in during a matchup, you’re going to feel a little cheated. The match not only failed to highlight the Divas Division as a whole, the match also served only as a mechanism to get over a Diva that is better suited for a reality show, then in a ring wrestling with actual athletes. I’m not saying Eva Marie, like Brie Bella, can’t improve on her in ring skills over time, im just saying having her win a match this early in her career, and with little build up at all. just makes the Divas division look that much more weak and embarrassing.

Does Big Show deserve to be in the main event against Randy at Survivor Series? Although the Big Show has been pushed greatly by WWE as a anti establishment megastar, the character just doesn’t resonate to me at all now. Big Show is a tremendous superstar by all means, but is also a poor substitute for the underdog, Daniel Bryan. Now Orton looks to be the one with the massive disadvantage in their upcoming matchup at Survivor Series next month.

The story would have made more sense if Triple H and Stephanie McMahon initially refused Big Show’s request for a main event match at Survivor Series, so they could protect their face of the WWE, Randy Orton, from being destroyed by the giant, Big Show. The segment between Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Big Show was awful as well, having little build up at all, and a lot of awkward and easily predictable moments. The beat down at the end by The Shield Randy Orton and the now corporate, Kane, only served as a overkill moment to try to build heat for the upcoming feud.

even worse than all this, is the fact that Big Show has now not only stolen Daniel Bryan’s main event push, but also has now taken his signature yes chant as well! The WWE clearly had a young superstar that was over with the WWE Universe, and used his push to get over a superstar who was already a seasoned veteran of the business.

The WWE can redeem themselves however, if they allow Big Show to do what Daniel Bryan could not, and actually get key main event victories against Randy Orton and the cooperation. Only time will tell how this horrendous storyline will play out, but i think everyone in the WWE Universe is hoping someone topples Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s empire sooner rather than later.

What do you think of Eva Marie’s victory Monday Night? Are you happy with Big Show being in the Main Event rather than Daniel Bryan? Let me know in the comments below and feel free to leave a question of your own.
