YES-ing in the face of Authority, Bryan looks ready for the fight against Triple H

This week’s Monday Night RAW kicked off with a Daniel Bryan visit-down-memory-lane – His journey from a NXT rookie to the WWE World HeavyWeight Champion. Daniel Bryan walks out to the ring with fans chanting the YES! chant. He’s wearing the World HeavyWeight Championship around his waist and holds up the WWE Title.

Bryan’s music stops and the fans chant his name in a huge way. Bryan just stands there and takes it all in. Bryan jokes that the fans never get tired and a big “no” chant starts. Bryan talks about how we’re all here thanks to one word. He credits the fans wanting change. He goes on and is interrupted by Triple H’s music. Out he comes with Stephanie McMahon.

Triple H and Stephanie stand on the apron as fans chant a**hole at them. Bryan walks over and chants “yes” with the titles in Triple H’s face. Triple H tells him to enjoy this moment because that’s all it is. Triple H says he’s going to personally make sure it doesn’t last through the night. Triple H says Bryan is going to defend his title against him tonight. Triple H says he’s putting an end to this crap tonight. Triple H says this is his show and there’s nothing we can do about it. He drops the mic and leaves. Bryan gets another chant going before his music hits and The Authority looks back from the stage.

Backstage, Batista confronts Triple H and says he’s not happy with the way things worked out. Randy Orton walks up and says he wants a shot at the Title rematch that he deserves. Triple H tells both of them that they will get the rematches they deserve, while Stephanie tells Orton and Batista that they are facing The Usos for the tag titles.

Match One: The Wyatt Family vs. John Cena, Sheamus and Big E

All hell breaks loose even before the bell. Bray Wyatt and John Cena finally make it to the ring and the match starts.

Cena gets knocked down with one solid right hand from Wyatt but manages to fight back and tags in Sheamus. Sheamus hits a battering ram and gets booed. Sheamus beats up Bray in the corner now and stomps away. Bray fights back and Erick Rowan tags in.

Sheamus takes Rowan down with a forearm shot. He tries to mount Rowan into the corner, but Rowan counters. Sheamus tags in Big E who comes in for some double teaming.

Rowan knocks him back with an elbow. Big E with a big backbreaker and another to Rowan. Big E keeps Rowan lifted and slams him a third time over his knee. 2 count for Big E.

Luke Harper comes in and goes at it with Big E. Cena tags in to boos and slams Harper. Harper blocks an Attitude Adjustment and slams Cena on his face for a close 2 count.

Back from commercial, Harper is being supported by the crowd as he fights with Cena.

Cena tries for the AA again, but he gets planted by a DDT for a near fall.

Wyatt comes in and stomps a Stone Cold-style mudhole in Cena, but Cena comes back with one big move and gets booed like crazy.

Sheamus and Rowan both get tags and the two gingers start battling it out. Sheamus hits a rolling senton with Harper right onto Rowan.

Big E and Wyatt end up in the ring. The Wyatt family take out everyone, with Wyatt ending the match by hitting Sister Abigail on Big E after a crab walk.

Bray is gonna kill you chants break out before the three count.

Match Two: Emma and Santino vs. Summer Rae and Fandango

Small, short match.

Santino and Fandango begin the match. They have a brief exchange before Summer and Emma tag in.

Emma puts Summer in a submission through the ropes that is apparently called the Dilemma. She then puts her in the Emma Lock for the submission win.

Brock Lesnar

Paul Heyman walks out with Brock Lesnar who’s sporting a black eye from yesterday’s WrestleMania match.

Heyman introduces himself and Lesnar. Heyman brings up The Streak being conquered and fans boo. Fans interrupt Heyman with a “bulls–t” chant. Heyman says fans being in shock shows him their lack of intelligence.

Heyman goes on to talk about Vince McMahon riding to the hospital with The Undertaker. He says Taker is being treated for a severe concussion and almost had a broken neck and cracked skull. Heyman says the greatest thing Taker ever did was not getting his shoulder up after that F5 because if he would have, Lesnar would have broken his neck and would have cracked his skull.

Heyman rags JBL for leading a standing ovation for Taker after the match. Heyman calls Taker a loser.

Heyman insults the fans next. Heyman says nobody gave Lesnar an ovation when he came to the back because nobody respects him.

Lesnar says that’s fine because Lesnar respect nobody either.

Heyman says everyone in the back are wannabes but Lesnar is the one. Heyman names guys like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, John Cena, Triple H, The Rock and others – all wannabes.

Heyman continues hyping Lesnar up while Lesnar shows off the message on his shirt.

Heyman says there are many wrestlers and many WWE Superstars but only one Brock Lesnar. He drops the mic and they leave.

Match Three: WWE Tag Team Title Match: Batista and Randy Orton vs. The Usos

Randy Orton slams Jey Uso into the steel steps

Another quick, short match. Batista and Orton pounce on the Usos as soon as they enter the ring. Batista sends Jey Uso crashing into the post.

Brief CM Punk chants ring around the arena. Batista and Orton toss Jimmy Uso out of the ring and Orton slams Jey into the steel steps.

Orton drops the other Uso with a DDT on the floor. The referee counts them both out.

Result: Double Count Out

After the bell, Batista grabs the other Uso and powerbombs him on top of the steel steps. Batista and Orton enter the ring together and stand tall with their arms in the air.


Match Four: Rob Van Dam vs. Damien Sandow

Rob Van Dam walks to the ring with the crowd cheering loudly for him.

RVD gets pulled off the turnbuckle as he is trying to pose for the crowd and Sandow begins to take him apart.

RVD comes back with a spin kick and then he kicks Sandow off the apron to the delight of the crowd. RVD sets up Sandow for his spinning leg drop from the apron to the barricade.

The crowd pops for Rolling Thunder and then RVD jumps up to the top and hits the Five-Star Frog Splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: RVD


Match Five: Rey Mysterio vs. Bad News Barrett

“Bad News” Barrett

Barrett makes his return to the ring after a really long time, and tries to address the crowd, but Rey snaps the mic out of his hand and sends Barrett to the outside.

The crowd is really behind Barrett as he takes control of the match. Barrett hits a huge Black Hole Slam for a near fall.

Rey gets back into it and hits the 619 to Barrett with the crowd giving him a lot of heat. Rey climbs to the top and Barrett knocks him down and hits the Bull Hammer while Rey is still draped on the top rope.

He gets the win with the crowd going nuts for him.

Winner: Bad News Barrett


Match Six: Zack Ryder vs. Alexander Rusev

Lana ‘The Ravishing Russian’ comes out and speaks in Russian. Fans give the ‘whaat’ treatment and she introduces Alexander Rusev.

Zack Ryder is literally being fed to the 305 lb Rusev who pushes him into a corner and beats him up.

Ryder tries to fight back but Rusev floors him. Rusev puts Ryder on the top rope and hits him with big knees. Rusev with a big overhead slam. Lana yells at Rusev to “crush” him and he hits a big side slam. Rusev with the Accolade submission for the win.

Winner: Alexander Rusev

WWE Hall of Famer Ultimate Warrior arrives on Raw for the first time in over 20 years

The Ultimate Warrior comes out in a suit.

Warrior slaps hands with fans on the way to the ring. Warrior grabs one of his trademark jackets from someone at ringside and puts it on before entering the ring. He shakes the ropes but it doesn’t feel the same. Warrior grabs the mic and tells his Warriors to speak to him. A Warrior chant breaks out in the crowd.

Warrior speaks but stops and pulls out a Warrior mask from his jacket. He has the cameraman hold the mic and he puts the mask on. How he’s more in character. Warrior talks about how the fans made him a Legend.

Warrior says he sees many potential Legends in the back and the fans will do the same for them. Warrior says the spirit of The Ultimate Warrior will live forever. He takes the mic off and shakes the ropes some more as his music plays.

Diva's Champions for 295 days

AJ Lee is backstage with Tamina Snuka and she cannot stop bragging about how she’s been the Diva’s champion for 295 days. AJ says she proved at WrestleMania that she’s the hero of this story.

AJ says she’s gone from becoming a poor girl in New Jersey to the best Diva in the world. This gets a big CM Punk chant going. AJ says she’s the savior of the Divas division, she is the Divas division. The music hits and out comes WWE NXT Women’s Champion Paige to a big pop.

Paige congratulates AJ and AJ says she doesn’t need her congratulations. She tells Paige to head back to NXT and Paige says she just wanted to say congratulations.

AJ says she should beat Paige and Paige says she isn’t ready. AJ slaps her and asks if she’s ready now. AJ says she wants to put her title on the line against Paige right now.

Match Seven: AJ Lee vs. Paige

AJ attacks Paige after the bell and takes her down with a back elbow before skipping around the ring. AJ locks her in the Black Widow.

Paige counters and hit the Paige Turner for the win and the title.

Winner and New WWE Divas Champion: Paige

After the match, Tamina tries to attack Paige, but she manages to escape. Paige takes the title up the ramp and celebrates as fans go crazy for her.

Back from the break, The Andre Memorial trophy is in the ring and Hulk Hogan comes out to present it to Antonio Cesaro.

Hogan hypes WrestleMania XXX and gets the Superdome name right this time. Hogan says we made history last night but the moment he loved the most was the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Hogan says seeing Big Show get lifted and thrown over the top made his heart feel good because he knew the big man was looking down with a smile on his face. Hogan confirms the battle royal ended up having 31 men in it and calls out Cesaro. Zeb Colter comes out with him and fans hum the Real American theme.

Hogan congratulates Cesaro. Zeb takes the mic and wants to speak first. Zeb talks about bringing Cesaro into the fold as a Real American. Zeb says he also made Cesaro a Zeb Colter Guy.

Cesaro apologizes but takes the mic and interrupts. Cesaro says he’s not a Zeb Colter Guy. He’s a Paul Heyman Guy.

“I’m a Paul Heyman Guy!”

Out comes Paul Heyman to a big pop. Heyman says he’s not only the strategist behind the ending of The Streak, he’s the representative for the King of Swing Cesaro.

Zeb asks if Cesaro is jumping ship and fans chant “yes.” Heyman calls Zeb grandpa. Heyman says his first order of business is to instruct the announcers to discuss the future of Cesaro.

Jack Swagger attacks from behind and sends Cesaro out of the ring. Swagger tips over the statue and breaks it. He slams the rest out on the floor and shatters it.

Cesaro gets pissed and comes in with uppercuts. He clotheslines Swagger out of the ring.

Match Eight: Antonio Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger

Cesaro takes control of the match. Swagger counters and throws Cesaro across the ring. Cesaro tries to fight back, but Swagger throws him across the ring again.

Cesaro starts to come back with big uppercuts, but he gets picked up and slammed by Swagger for another near fall.

Cesaro ends up superplexing Swagger from the apron into the ring from the middle rope to get a huge pop and a near fall.

Cesaro nails Swagger with a series of running uppercuts and then he calls for the Big Swing, but Swagger rolls out of the ring to avoid it.

The ref counts Swagger out and Cesaro wins the match.

Winner: Cesaro

Stephanie is backstage with Kane and the Shield and she tells them that they have to make sure that Triple H walks out as champion.

Orton and Batista come out and attack Bryan before Triple H even makes his entrance. They beat Bryan down while the crowd boos.

Orton hits Bryan with an RKO and then Batista hits a Batistabomb. Kane’s pyro hits and he comes out to pile on. He tells Orton and Batista to move and then he grabs Bryan by the throat and Chokeslams him.

Trips tells the ref to start the match and he does it to keep his job. Triple H picks up Bryan right as The Shield’s music hits.

They make their way out through the crowd wearing new masks. A hounds of justice chant breaks out as they stand on one side of the ring.

They get on the apron as Orton, Kane and Batista stand across the ring. Triple H tries to tell everyone that this isn’t going to happen.

This is awesome chants break out as The Shield step through the ropes. Reigns spears Triple H and all hell breaks loose. Ambrose and Rollins take out Orton and Batista while Kane and Reigns go at it in the ring.

The Hounds of Justice

The Hounds of Justice

They surround Triple H while Bryan recovers in the corner. Bryan hits the running knee to Triple H and he rolls out of the ring.

Bryan and The Shield stand tall to end the show.
