Over the last few weeks, WWE have been dropping subtle hints about the budding feud between the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and her best friend, Sasha Banka. The WWE Universe has been waiting patiently for this rivalry which is bound to deliver beyond our expectations. But before that, Bayley will have to defend her title against Tamina at Money in the Bank.
While Tamina doesn’t really appear to be a huge threat to Bayley at this point, it should still be noted that the challenger has improved immensely ever since her return to in-ring action earlier this year. She was also booked quite strongly at WrestleMania 36. Having said that, it is still too soon for her to win the championship and she should certainly not beat Bayley at Money in the Bank.
During her historic championship reign, Bayley has evolved as a title-holder and has improved her demeanour to portray a more convincing heel. It would be unjust to have her lose the title right before we can see the much-anticipated feud between her and Banks. Therefore, Bayley is one of the few Superstars who desperately needs a win at Money in the Bank to ensure that the creatives have something huge in store for the next big PPV, SummerSlam.
