Royal Rumble is an expert wrestling occasion delivered every year in late January starting around 1988 by World Wrestling Entertainment. It is the world's biggest expert wrestling advancement. It is named after the Royal Rumble match, a fight in which the members enter at a planned period rather than all starting in the ring simultaneously. It is an expert wrestling match in light of the classic Battle Royal match style in which a few grapplers (generally 30) target disposing of their rivals by throwing them over the top rope, with the two feet contacting the floor.

There are no pinfalls or submissions to eliminate others. Each of the 30 individuals is picked indiscriminately. No. 1 and 2 start things off. Normally, another member comes in every two minutes. However, there have been exceptions where it's either 60 or 90 seconds. The last man or woman remaining in their particular matches will get a world title shot fitting their personal preference at WrestleMania.

The occasion's winner is the last grappler staying after all others have been thrown out of the ring. The Royal Rumble has been displayed on pay-per-view (PPV) since the 1989 occasion after the underlying 1988 occasion was communicated as a TV special on the USA Network. It is one of WWE's five greatest occasions of the year, alongside WrestleMania, Survivor Series, SummerSlam, and Money in the Bank. They are combinedly alluded to as the "Big Five".

The Royal Rumble match was first made by WWE Hall of Famer and former grappler Pat Patterson. The event was then spread out by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). The Royal Rumble match is for the most part considered as the headliner match of the yearly occasion. A few special cases exist, for example, the 1988, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2006, 2013, and 2023 occasions.
