Randy Orton is preparing for his World Heavyweight Championship match with Gunther at Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024. The Viper aims to become a World Champion after a long time, but The Ring General has momentum on his side after his victory over Damian Priest at SummerSlam 2024.

During the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, the two superstars had another confrontation, but this time it was Ludwig Kaiser who came to the aid of Gunther and it remains to be seen if he becomes a factor in the title match in Berlin, Germany.

With that in mind, let's take a look at three things that will happen should The Viper become a World Champion for the 15th time in his illustrious WWE career.

#3. Randy Orton will move to RAW

Randy Orton appeared on RAW and challenged Gunther a couple of days after SummerSlam 2024. It was a surprise appearance, as The Viper is part of the SmackDown roster.

This will be a rematch from the King of the Ring tournament final in late May 2024, when Gunther controversially defeated Orton. Now, The Viper is looking for revenge, and should he win at Bash in Berlin 2024, he will move to the red brand, while The Ring General will move to the blue brand.

#2. It will put his potential feud with Cody Rhodes on hold temporarily

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are good friends in real life and the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion has called The Viper his "mentor." In addition to that, both are babyfaces, and fans expect one of the two to turn heel soon.

The ideal candidate for the same is Randy Orton, who has been a babyface for way too long and could have a heel turn at some point in the future and turn against The American Nightmare.

Should he become the new World Heavyweight Champion, though, WWE will put this feud on hold temporarily, as The Legend Killer will switch brands with Gunther if he wins at Bash in Berlin 2024.

#1. It could raise the stakes for his final match with John Cena

John Cena has officially announced that he will retire at the end of 2025. The Champ has also revealed that he will have a "Retirement Tour" from early January up to late December 2025, where he is expected to show up on RAW, SmackDown, and several premium live events.

As we are getting closer to the end of the year, we will get more updates on what the schedule of the 16-time World Champion will be during his retirement tour.

Meanwhile, if Randy Orton wins the title in two weeks at Bash in Berlin 2024, he will become a World Champion for the 15th time, meaning that he will trail The Cenation Leader by just one world title.

With that in mind, WWE could push the final match between John Cena and Randy Orton to the end of the former's retirement tour. Before that, Orton could lose and win the title again, which would see both superstars being tied at 16 World Championships before their final match.
