On the October 29th edition of WWE NXT, Rhea Ripley fell victim to a vicious attack from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. As per WWE.com, Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket due to this attack and is expected to be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.

This injury Ripley suffered on the developmental brand is yet another block in her road to getting revenge on Morgan and winning back the Women's World Championship. However, it may also lead to something fruitful as the newest NXT Superstar Zaria could make her debut on the main roster to help Ripley.

On the recent episode of NXT, it was announced Zaria would team up with Giulia, Jordynne Grace, Kelani Jordan, and Stephanie Vaquer to face Fatal Influence, Cora Jade, and Roxxane Perez. When Zaria and her teammates were hanging out backstage, Ripley made an appearance and boosted their morale.

Previously as well, Rhea Ripley publically endorsed Zaria, who also belongs to Australia. Given the two superstars have had positive meetings and seem to respect each other, Zaria could very well make her debut on the main roster and help Ripley against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Another reason why this would work is because until now, Morgan's alliance with Rodriguez has been a roadblock for Ripley. However, if The Nightmare also has someone she can count on, things might get easier and she might be able to beat Morgan and become the Women's World Champion again.

Was Rhea Ripley really injured on NXT this week?

After WWE announced that Rhea Ripley Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket, it led to confusion among the WWE fans. Many wondered if the former Women's World Champion suffered a legitimate injury or whether the injury was part of a storyline.

As per PWInsider, Ripley's injury announced by WWE could be a cover-up for a real-life legitimate injury the Aussie has been dealing with. However, it was also reported that there were no confirmed specifics about her injuries. It's important to note that this is not the first time Ripley is taking time off due to injury in 2024.

In April, a backstage attack by Liv Morgan led to Ripley legitimately hurting her right arm. This meant she had to relinquish the Women's World Championship and undergo treatment. That's exactly what The Nightmare did. She made a successful comeback on the July 8th edition of Monday Night RAW.

However, the last time Rhea Ripley was injured, Morgan succeeded in distancing the Aussie from Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. It will be interesting to see what the Women's World Champion does this time.
