A 14-time World Champion recently revealed what advice he received from John Cena. This star was a long-time rival of The Cenation Leader. The name in question is WWE Superstar Randy Orton.
Ever since the beginning of his WWE career, it was clear that Randy Orton was destined for success. Right at the start, he was under the mentorship of Triple H and Ric Flair, which helped him become the youngest World Champion in history. Over the years, Orton would go on to win 14 World Titles as he evolved from the Legend Killer to Legend status.
During the peak of his career, The Viper was involved in several heated feuds with John Cena, as both men exchanged the WWE Championship on multiple occasions. Although they were rivals, Orton did learn something valuable from Cena.
On a recent episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About? Cody Rhodes asked Orton about who he considers his mentor. While The Apex Predator named his usual list of mentors, he also revealed some valuable advice he received from The Cenation Leader.

"I think you know them all. I really do. Obviously, my father, Hunter, and Ric. And I told John this the other day when we spoke, like I was saying I learned a lot from him. I kinda learned from John. It's so weird saying it after how many people I was in the ring with, like the Takers, Shawns, Triple Hs, Ric Flairs. But I think I learned from John to calm the f**k down, listen to people and you don't have to go in there with a bunch of stuff memorized, you can literally just do something. It doesn't have to be rocket science. We make it harder than it needs to be." [26:12 - 27:02]

Randy Orton recalls John Cena shutting down the idea of one last WWE match
At Money in the Bank, John Cena made a surprise return to announce that he would be embarking on a retirement tour and would compete in his last WrestleMania next year. However, before this announcement, Randy Orton approached him for one last match.
During the same episode, Orton recalled Cena telling him that he'd never pitched a match before and that he goes with what he was given.
"I said, 'What do you think?'" Orton recalled. "And he was like, 'Randy, you know I've never pitched anything. I always do my best with whatever they give me.' I'm like, 'Man, that's me.' I've never had a pitch. I've never set myself up to be let down. I'm never like, 'Hey, writers, here's a six-page storyboard of everything I wanna do for the next six months.' Not once. Not once." It will be interesting to see which opponents John Cena will face on his retirement tour next year.
