Several WWE Superstars make an everlasting impact on the audiences they entertain in their careers. While fans love to see legends return to the Stamford-based promotion, many wrestlers choose to hang up their boots for good. Speaking about the matter, a two-time WWE Champion recently noted that he is unsure of which direction he will take after retirement.

The Miz recently appeared in a podcast interview with journalist Shakiel Mahjouri on SHAK Wrestling. The A-lister was asked how he would like to stay connected to the Stamford-based promotion following his retirement whenever it comes. Answering this, Miz noted that he currently has no such thoughts in mind.

“Where this goes after WWE? Um I don't know. Like, I want to be a great dad. I want to be a great husband. I want Monroe and Madison to grow up with a dad that's that's there, that's present. That takes them to gymnastics or takes them to jiujitsu or soccer or wherever they want to be. So that's where my mindset is at right now. You're like, 'well what about you know, your job' and that kind of stuff? Like my job is to be a dad, right? So I think that's the most important. [From 12:04 to 12:40]

While The Miz is more focused on being a family man post-retirement, he still enjoys his work and what he has done in his 20-year career. Interestingly, he also described why he likes being a WWE Superstar in the same podcast.

The reason why The Miz loves his job at WWE

Shakiel Mahjouri started the interview by mentioning that one of The Miz’s fans still remembers him saying that Winnipeg is a terrible city. Moreover, the fan also noted that while he didn’t like the remark as a child, he completely agreed with it as an adult. Responding to this with laughter, the ex-World Tag Team Champ used this story to reveal why he likes being a WWE Superstar.

“I love it, I don't think you understand how many times I've told a city that they're horrible and that they're terrible and that they s**k. So, I'm glad that this kid has that memory and that's what you know, that's people always ask: Why do you like being a WWE Superstar? And that right there is the reason. People take home memories that will last a lifetime like that kid still remembers that moment. And when that was what,15 years ago? And that kid still remembers that and that's what it's all about. Like creating those moments.”

The Miz noted that he is dedicated to giving the fans more such moments to carry home. While he isn’t thinking of retirement right now, he noted that he wants to be a part ofJohn Cena’s retirement tour. It would be interesting to see what more The Awesome One achieves before he proceeds to hang up his boots.
