A two-time WWE Champion recently addressed the possibility of returning to the wrestling ring. He disclosed that he would never compete again due to his age and health issues.
The former superstar in question is Sid Vicious (aka Sycho Sid). The 63-year-old last wrestled seven years ago when he defeated Paul Rosenberg at a GNW event. Meanwhile, his final WWE match was in 2012 when he beat Heath Slater on Monday Night RAW.
In a recent interview with Attitude Era Podcast, the former champion addressed whether he plans to return to wrestling. Vicious stated that he would not be returning to in-ring competition, revealing that he has been struggling with health issues:

"[Is there a chance we can expect a wrestling return?] No, I'm 63 years old. I had that fracture in 2000 and I've been going through that. Causes a lot of other problems like your other knee and stuff like that and I just couldn't do it. Even if, you know, they were to offer me say to come back and do some manager position, something like that, I just don't know, sort of I don't know if I could do it," he said. [4:22 - 4:46]
Why did Sid Vicious leave WWE?
Sid Vicious had a brief run in WWE between 1991 and 1992. After competing in other promotions for several years, he had another run in the Stamford-based company between 1995 and 1997.
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Hall of Famer Jim Ross addressed why Vicious did not last longer in WWE:
"Sometimes I think Sid, his tolerance for the travel, and his tolerance for the business in general at times, were not his strong suit," Ross said. "They were not his cup of tea. You wonder if Sid had been able to stay healthy and stay active consistently, how great he could have been and how much money he would have drawn, how much more money he would have drawn, if that would have been able to occur."
Sid Vicious recently criticized the Stamford-based company for putting over Sami Zayn, claiming he has failed to prove that he was "it." Meanwhile, he claimed Bron Breakker should have defeated the Intercontinental Champion.
