Randy Orton has had a long week following Kevin Owens' shocking attack on him during this week's WWE SmackDown. However, amid his recent issues with Owens, a 20-year-old star has fired shots at The Viper for his past friendship with Matt Riddle.
Former WWE superstar Matt Riddle had an amazing time as Randy Orton's tag team partner during the last few months of his WWE career. However, he was released by the company following controversies surfacing on the internet. Riddle is now a part of Major League Wrestling, and is currently involved in a feud with Brad Baylor.
In a recent post on X (fka Twitter), Brad Baylor took a shot at The Viper for choosing Riddle as his friend and tag team partner. Back in WWE, Randy Orton wasn't a big fan of teaming with Riddle initially. However, things turned around, and the duo became best friends. Baylor took the instance as a reference and also stated that he should have been The Legend Killer's prodigy.
"I should’ve been Randy’s prodigy," he wrote.
This was also a shot at Riddle, possibly referencing that if he got an opportunity to team up with The Viper, he would seemingly still be with Orton and a part of the company.
Randy Orton was betrayed by Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown
Kevin Owens has been shocking the entire WWE Universe since Bad Blood. First, a video of him assaulting Cody Rhodes in the parking lot surfaced on the internet, apparently showcasing his heel turn.
Owens and Rhodes came face-to-face on SmackDown this week, during which Randy Orton came out to cool things down. However, later on during the show, Owens attacked The Viper backstage, making headlines all around the world.
While Owens has turned heel, the possible reason for this change might be Rhodes teaming up with his long-time rival, Roman Reigns, at Bad Blood. Fans will have to wait and see what happens next in this intriguing storyline.
