A big babyface turn was teased on SmackDown in the opening segment tonight. We should rather say that the big tease continued this week after a comment was made.
The opening segment saw Bianca Belair and the new (replacement) half of the Women's Tag Team Champions, Naomi. The conversation quickly moved towards Jade Cargill's attacker and Belair was confident that one of the heels did it, i.e., Nia Jax, Candice LeRae, or Tiffany Stratton. When the three heels came out, they insisted that they weren't the ones who took out Jade Cargill.
In fact, Nia Jax's gripe with Tiffany Stratton continued as she made a brutal comment against her, saying, "Tiffy couldn't even help us win the tag titles last week" before asking Belair if she genuinely thought that she was even "capable" of pulling it off.
This was a continuous tease of the 25-year-old Tiffany Stratton's face turn on SmackDown.
That face turn has mainly been teased since Candice LeRae entered Nia Jax's good graces on the blue brand.
Since then, Stratton has had a falling out of favor with the WWE Women's Champion. However, fans continue to be convinced that Naomi was the one who attacked Jade Cargill because of how quick she always is to change the topic when it's brought up.
Candice LeRae stopped Tiffany Stratton's cash-in attempt mid-match - a moment that directly led to Naomi getting the win in their six-woman tag team match.
