Former WWE head writer Vince Russo questioned Sami Zayn's recent booking on RAW. The veteran expressed his frustration with Bron Breakker laying out the Intercontinental Champions on the red brand despite the latter defeating the rising star at Money in the Bank.
Bron Breakker has been a force to be reckoned with ever since moving up to the main roster. However, the 26-year-old was on the losing end of the Intercontinental Championship match at Money in the Bank. Despite the loss, Breakker has been involved in the title picture and laid out both Sami Zayn and Ilja Dragunov on RAW this past Monday.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling Legion of RAW, Vince Russo expressed his frustrations with the decision to keep Bron in the Intercontinental Title picture. The former WWE employee made it clear that once the babyface beats the heel, the feud should be over.
"When you look at Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker, let me just lay this out to you - So Sami Zayn beats Bron Breakker at the PLE [Money in the Bank]. So now bro, Bron Breakker Spears Zayn and stands over him. Why bro? He already lost to Sami Zayn. I'll tell you why bro. So we can stretch this thing out. Bro, once he beats Bron Brekker, it’s over. Once the babyface beats the heel, it’s over." [From 58:53 onwards]
Bron Breakker looks set to challenge for Zayn's title once again at WWE SummerSlam. However, Ilja Dragunov could also be involved in the title picture this time, making it a three-way at WWE's upcoming premium live event.
