Tatum Paxley experienced a significant upward trajectory in her WWE career throughout 2024. She was featured more prominently on NXT and steadily managed to get over with the fans. However, there is some unfortunate news that could temporarily halt her momentum.

The 28-year-old recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an update about her health. Paxley revealed that she is simultaneously battling Norovirus and a ruptured ovarian cyst.

"Norovirus and a ruptured ovarian cyst at the same time✨💖," Paxley wrote.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

While recovery from Norovirus is typically quick, a ruptured ovarian cyst can be far more unpredictable. If the rupture causes internal bleeding, it may require hospitalization or even surgery. As a result, there is a possibility Tatum Paxley could be sidelined for an extended period to focus on her recovery.

Former WWE champion inspired Tatum Paxley to get into wrestling

Tatum Paxley found initial success as a powerlifter and cheerleader before transitioning to professional wrestling. In a short span, she achieved her dream of signing with WWE in 2021.

Earlier this year, Paxley shared in an Instagram story that Alexa Bliss played a significant role in inspiring her wrestling journey. She revealed that the former RAW and SmacklDown Women’s Champion was one of the first wrestlers she admired when she began watching professional wrestling.

"I had a really good friend of mine who is into pro wrestling that I talked to a lot about, and I started watching a lot of matches and realizing this is something I really wanted to do. I watched a ton of Alexa Bliss. I had a lot of people asking me if there was a specific wrestler that really got me into it. I watched a ton of her stuff, and watching her really made me want to get into this. I got a trial, and now we're here," she said.

As Paxley recovers from her recent health challenges, it remains to be seen what plans WWE has in store for her future.

Team Sportskeeda extends its best wishes to Tatum Paxley for a speedy recovery!
