A 28-year-old WWE Superstar recently made her first televised appearance in 85 days after this week’s SmackDown. Interestingly, she has also received a spot in the Women’s United States Championship Tournament. Moreover, Blair Davenport would start her journey to the title by crushing two prominent wrestlers.
Blair Davenport was last seen on SmackDown in a six-woman tag team match on August 23, 2024. She had teamed up with Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre to take on Naomi, Jade Cargill, and Bianca Belair in a losing effort.
Interestingly, she will face Belair again in the first round of the Women’s United States Championship qualifiers along with Chelsea Green in a Triple Threat match. Speaking with Byron Saxton on this week’s SmackDown LowDown, Davenport said that she took her time to rest and recover while absent from TV. Moreover, she also explained how she would take down her seasoned WWE opponents.
“I think Bianca and Chelsea, they've been so busy, which is great for them, I guess. I've had a bit of time off, but in that time off, I've been resting, recovering, and working on myself. Bianca and Chelsea just seem a bit burnt out and overworked. And do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to take full advantage of that. I'm going to break them down, and I'm going to make them both hurt. At the end of that, I will waltz all the way on to the semi-final and then become the first-ever WWE United States Women's Champion,” she said.
It would be interesting to see if Davenport can make quick work of The Hot Mess and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
