3 ex-WWE champions returning after an embarrassing Women's WarGames match is a must, says ex-employee

A former WWE employee heavily criticized the Women's WarGames match, giving it a score of six out of 10. He claimed three former champions must return before the Women's Royal Rumble to enhance the division. This was WWE veteran Tommy Carlucci's opinion after last night's premium live event.

Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, Naomi, and Bayley defeated the Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax, Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, and Raquel Rodriguez in the Women's WarGames match at Survivor Series. However, Carlucci was not impressed with the performance of most of these competitors, pointing out on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast that the storytelling was bad.

Carlucci, who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company, suggested the company must bring back Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss ahead of the Women's Royal Rumble to support the struggling women's division in his opinion.

"Well, Royal Rumble, you know how you make it better? You bring Charlotte back, you bring Becky back to add more competition with the women. That's how you make it [better]. Even Alexa Bliss at this point. We need more women superstars and the ones they have now are not carrying it at all," he said. [1:05:15 - 1:05:32]

Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch are absent from WWE for different reasons

Alexa Bliss last wrestled in January 2023. She has been out of action ever since as she went on maternity leave. The former RAW Women's Champion gave birth to her first child in November last year. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair has also been absent since last year. She suffered multiple knee injuries during a match against Asuka on SmackDown in December 2023.

While Bliss and Flair are still under contract with WWE, Becky Lynch is no longer with the company. She became a free agent earlier this year after her contract expired. Last May, the former Women's World Champion failed to recapture the title in her final match against Liv Morgan on RAW.

It would be interesting to see if any of the three superstars or all of them would return before the upcoming Women's Royal Rumble.
