On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Andrade challenged LA Knight for the United States Championship. He earned the right to challenge for the coveted title after defeating Carmelo Hayes in a #1 contender's match.

After the bell rang, El Idolo tried to lock in the Figure Four, but The Megastar reversed it into a cover. The latter tried to hit the BFT, but the former US Champion evaded it and headed to the floor. Andrade did a series of chops, and LA countered with a few jabs.

El Idolo took down LA Knight with a diving crossbody and got a two-count. Andrade did a shoulder takedown but ran into a clothesline. LA bounced Andrade's face into the announce table several times and hit a slingshot shoulder tackle in the ring for a two-count. Andrade nailed Knight with a moonsault off the top of the ringpost onto the floor.

He then tried to hit a meteora in the corner, but nobody was home. LA Knight planted his opponent with a DDT and got a two-count. He then hit the three-time WWE titleholder with a running knee in the corner and a neckbreaker for a two-count. In the end, Knight planted Andrade with the BFT and won the match to retain the US Title.
