WWE Superstar Shotzi recently heaped praise on her SmackDown colleague Bayley despite the two stars having a feud on TV.
Bayley and the rest of Damage CTRL inflicted a lot of punishment on Shotzi as they cut her hair after a match on SmackDown. This pushed the 31-year-old star to her limits. She shaved her hair, adopted a new edgy attitude, and has been terrorizing The Role Model ever since.
In a recent interview with WrestlingNewsCo, Shotzi broke character and explained that she shaved her head because she wanted to show solidarity with her sister undergoing chemotherapy. She was thankful that it was part of a storyline, and she got to work with Bayley, whom she saw as a role model. The star also thanked her fans who showed their support for her sister.
"I got to work with Bayley with it too. Bayley has always been like a huge role model to me. So to have that moment with her, to share this like meaningful moment with her was really awesome, and like, you know, I didn't really like say much of it but like everyone kinda knew anyway, and like, that really resonated with my sister, and she got like a lot of support from my fans which I really love and appreciate too," Shotzi said. Shotzi took Triple H's permission before the angle with Bayley
During the same conversation, Shozti mentioned that she approached Triple H with the idea of shaving her head. She mentioned that The Game approved the idea and helped set up the storyline with Damage CTRL.
"I immediately like went to Hunter and was like, 'Hey, my sister is going through chemo, like I wanna support her, I wanna be there for her, like I wanna shave my head off too, like can we, you know, make it not weird and make it part of a storyline so I don't just show up one day with no hair?' And he was totally for it," Shotzi said. [0:38 - 0:58]
