Being a wrestler means a large part of your life will see you on the road traveling. Now, one of the top stars in the world, who has made his name for being a huge attraction on the indie scene without signing with WWE or AEW, Effy, has opened up about being stopped by the police.
The wrestler was stopped by the police in February when he had edibles in his car in South Georgia. Because of this, he has faced multiple consequences.
In an interview with Nick Hausman's Haus of Wrestling, the star opened up on his issues.
In a court judgment this Monday, the wrestler was given a 15-year probation sentence for having edibles in his car when he was caught speeding last February in South Georgia. He also had to spend more than $9000 in legal fees.

“On Monday, I was given a 15-year probation sentence for having edibles in my car when I got caught speeding last February in South Georgia. Now, you’re one of the few people that has seen the mug shot, which is going to be available as a shirt and 8 x 10 soon, so I can recoup some of the $9,000 I have spent on legal fees and court costs so far."
On top of all this, it appeared that he might even have some travel issues. However, it could have been a lot worse. While it looked like he would not be able to travel everywhere at first, he managed to minimize it to a situation where he would have to tell them when he was going somewhere and get a monthly pass.
“So I kind of had to dance around it and say, ‘Look, if I don’t have the ability to travel, you’re really going to mess up not only my life but the life of many people who I bring joy to.’ So, we worked out a situation where I can travel still globally, but I do have to inform them when I’m going and get a monthly pass. But now I’m sort of, I’m figuring out the next steps.”
The wrestler also said that he looked like he was high, and the police decided that he was.
“But it was definitely a case of me looking like I was on drugs and the cops sort of determining that I was."
The wrestler still has several major non-WWE and AEW shows, like GCW, among others, coming up in the next few months.
