WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was a historic night for the company before the end of 2024. Recently, inaugural Women's United States Champion Chelsea Green reflected on the career-changing moment ahead of Friday Night SmackDown.
Earlier this month, Chelsea Green made history as the inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion when she pinned Mia 'Michin' Yim and added her name to the top of the illustrious list.
Today, she reflected on her journey and spoke about her time in TNA Wrestling, which eventually paved the way for the 33-year-old star to join the Stamford-based promotion. The Canadian star was also released from the company and returned to Impact Zone for a while before getting rehired under Triple H's creative leadership in 2023. Here's what she had to say:
"Dec 14 2017 vs Dec 14 2014. Same girl, same dream, same drive… 7 year difference. The detours & speed bumps on the way to this moment have been the greatest part of my journey. I wouldn’t change a thing. @WWE @ThisIsTNA," Green wrote.

Chelsea Green wants Cardi B to appear in WWE and challenge her for the Women's United States Championship
After years of waiting, the management introduced new women-centric mid-card titles for the main roster. Monday Night RAW got the Women's Intercontinental Championship and the Women's Red, White, and Blue title came to Friday Night SmackDown.
Later, Chelsea Green defeated Bianca Belair, Blair Davenport, and Bayley to reach the finals. On the other side, Michin defeated Piper Niven, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton.
The two stars co-main evented Saturday Night's Main Event where Green became the inaugural champion. Later, she tweeted that she wanted Cardi B to challenge her for the title:
"Now that I am your longest reigning @wwe US champ, I am officially inviting @iamcardib to challenge me," Green said.
The 33-year-old star is set to appear on Friday Night SmackDown for the first time as the Women's United States Championship. It'll be interesting to see which star ends up as her first challenger for the title.
