WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT commentator Booker T believes Damage CTRL's IYO SKY will get a singles push.
SKY competed on the independent circuit for several years before officially joining the Stamford-based company in 2018. Over the next three years, she became one of the top stars on NXT, winning the NXT Women's Championship and the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles. The 33-year-old made her main roster debut at SummerSlam in 2022 as part of Damage CTRL alongside Dakota Kai and Bayley. She has since held the Women's Tag Team Title twice.
During the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T praised SKY, stating that she would eventually get a singles push.
"Bro, let me tell you right now, when I watch Iyo Sky just walk out the curtain, she got that bounce walk sideways almost like a drunken Kung fu walk. She just feels like something bad about to happen. Then when she gets in the ring and perform bro, she's a one. She's a one inside the squared circle. She can perform on the highest level. So, giving her a shot on her own that's not something, you know, if it's gonna happen, it's just a matter of when it's gonna happen," he said. [1:06:14 - 1:06:51]
