Randy Orton opened Monday Night RAW to a great response from Fort Lauderdale and his upcoming premium live event opponent, Gunther got a widely negative reaction. Those jeers got worse once a 34-year-old star attacked Orton from behind.
Once again, it was a psychological battle between Randy Orton and the World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther. According to Orton, all they needed to do was focus on the legacy and prestige of the title that The Ring General holds, but he chose to make it personal when he insulted Orton's grandfather and father. Gunther also acknowledged how effective the RKO was but turned his back again momentarily for some reason.
The 34-year-old Ludwig Kaiser came from behind and attacked Orton. Although The Viper took him out at first, the German came back and both members of The Imperium took out the Legend Killer.

This was a huge statement to make in the build to Bash at Berlin and it set up a match between Randy Orton and Ludwig Kaiser on the red brand for tonight.
Gunther, for his part, hasn't been as confident as he usually is when it comes to his opponents. Orton vowed that the next time he made his entrance on the red brand, he would be world champion once again. We're not sure if that means he won't appear on RAW next week or not.
Either way, Bash in Berlin on August 31 is going to be incredible.
