Kevin Owens recently completed 10 years in WWE. He is naturally ecstatic as he took to social media earlier today to share an article from the company's website which was published in 2014.

The article highlighted major names such as Triple H, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin acknowledging The Prizefighter's arrival to the biggest wrestling promotion in the world after spending many years in the independent circuit.

Owens' post caught the attention of SmackDown's former WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller. The Aussie pointed to how the man who burst into the scene and defeated John Cena—who was at the prime of his career—is no longer the same.

Waller took the insult further up a notch by calling the former Universal Champion a "simp" for Cody Rhodes:

"Huge congrats mate! It’s a shame we don’t get this Kevin Owens anymore. Instead we get you simping for Cody Rhodes and being handed pity title matches #SimpOwensSimp," wrote Grayson Waller.

On the August 9 episode of SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes handpicked Kevin Owens as his challenger for Bash in Berlin later this month. This unusual way of determining a new number-one contender garnered a mixed response from fans and critics of the product.

Mark Henry is convinced WWE will not turn Kevin Owens heel

The babyface vs. babyface dynamic is something WWE rarely uses. But that does not mean it won't work. Nevertheless, the angle on SmackDown which saw Kevin Owens reject The American Nightmare's offer for a title match threw everybody off, according to wrestling legend Dutch Mantell.

Speaking on Busted Open, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry touched upon The Prizefighter possibly turning heel to escalate this storyline. Henry feels the company does not need another heel at the moment:

"Yeah, it's gonna be a straightforward [match]. Kevin is at a place right now where they need another babyface. They don't need more heels," he said.

After 10 years of consistently putting on impeccable performances one after the other, Kevin Owens is a hard-to-hate babyface in the eyes of fans. But The Prizefighter is also well known for his heel work.

Having only won a world title once in the last decade, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Owens eventually turns on The American Nightmare, should their program go past Bash in Berlin on August 31.
