Prior to tonight, John Cena last appeared at WrestleMania XL Sunday during Cody Rhodes' main event against Roman Reigns. The Cenation Leader took out Reigns and Solo Sikoa before being confronted by his long-term rival, The Rock. At Crown Jewel Premium Live Event last year, Cena lost a singles match to Sikoa, who dominated the former WWE Champion after hitting him with multiple Samoan Spikes.
Post-WrestleMania XL, the 47-year-old competed in a Three-Man Tag Team Match when he teamed up with Awesome Truth for a victory over The Judgment Day. It remains to be seen who turns out to be Cena's final opponent and faces him at WrestleMania 41 next year.
