John Cena's Retirement Tour will kick off in January 2025, when the company will be on the Road to WrestleMania 41. Meanwhile, three-time TNA World Champion Moose recently spoke highly of Joe Hendry.
John Cena dominated WWE under Vince McMahon's regime for over a decade. The 16-time World Champion has decided to hang up the wrestling boots in the coming year with certain dates in mind, including the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41.
In an interview with WhatCulture Wrestling ahead of Slammiversary 2024, three-time TNA World Champion Moose praised Joe Hendry and stated that the latter was on the cusp of becoming the next John Cena.
"I believe in Joe Hendry. I think Joe Hendry is on the cusp of being the next John Cena, and I know he's worked his b*tt off. Just his story and just his journey show you that hard work pays off. There's a lot of people that don't know all the hard work that Joe Hendry put in, all the questions he asked, and him cornering some of the older guys in the locker room and asking them questions on how to be better and how to get better. I'm just happy that all those questions, all that hard work, and everything he's done to get to the position he's in is actually paying off," Moose said. (From 04:18 to 04:56)

Joe Hendry teased a match with John Cena
The 36-year-old star made an appearance on WWE NXT in June 2024 but failed to make an impact on the developmental brand.
Regardless of the loss, the momentum didn't stop, as fans wanted the star to appear in the Stamford-based promotion. Earlier this week, Joe Hendry appeared after multiple teases on the show and secured a victory alongside Trick Williams.
An entire roster aims to face John Cena when the veteran shows up for his final run in 2025. Joe Hendry also threw his name in the hat when he teased facing The Franchise Player.
Currently, no plans are revealed for Cena's final run. However, the star made it clear that WrestleMania 41 will be his last in-ring outing at The Showcase of The Immortals, and he'll appear on Monday Night RAW when the show airs on Netflix.
