Naomi has made it clear that she plans to win the WWE Women's Title ever since she returned to the Stamford-based promotion earlier this year. She was offered an opportunity previously by Bayley but came up short. She had another chance to become the number one contender but lost again. However, it looks like she hasn't given up on becoming the champion.
Tonight on SmackDown, Nia Jax was part of the opening segment as she came face-to-face with Liv Morgan. Tiffany Stratton interrupted them and teased that she could cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase on either of them.

Nia had the last laugh as she took out Morgan after the latter's match against Stratton. Following this, Nia was backstage with Stratton and she wondered why the latter would say she would cash in on her. Stratton told her that she was trying to fool Liv.
Bayley and Naomi interrupted them. Naomi took a good close look at Nia's title and told her to keep the title warm for her, indicating that she was coming for it.
