37-year-old star announces exit from WWE; makes shocking claims before departure

WWE will be heading to Canada on July 6, 2024, for its next premium live event, Money in the Bank. Meanwhile, Dijak has announced that he is leaving the Stamford-based promotion on June 28, making shocking claims.

Dijak (fka Dominik Dijakovic) has been part of the promotion for nearly seven years after joining NXT in 2017. He was heavily featured on the brand during its black-and-gold era before he received a new gimmick. The star was known as T-Bar on WWE's main roster.

The 37-year-old's run as T-Bar went nowhere on RAW, and the star returned to the developmental brand, adopting the Dijak moniker. Today, on X/Twitter, he announced that he would be leaving the company on June 28. He added that the company didn't offer him a new contract.

Dijak claimed that he was slated to feud for the NXT Championship before he was picked by Monday Night RAW in the 2024 Draft. The former Retribution member claimed that despite making numerous creative pitches, he wasn't booked in a prominent role.

In his tweet, Dijak disclosed that a top WWE executive praised his performances, but his deal was still not renewed by the company. Despite the setback, he seemed optimistic about his future in pro wrestling and shared his booking details.

Dijak discussed moving to WWE's main roster after WrestleMania XL

Dijak started from scratch on World Wrestling Entertainment's developmental brand after Retribution disbanded. The 37-year-old star feuded with several notable talents, such as Ilja Dragunov, Oba Femi, Tony D'Angelo, and more, before moving to the main roster again.

In a chat with WWE Deutschland, Dijak gave his honest opinion on which main roster brand he wanted to join after delivering a stellar performance at Stand & Deliver 2024 during WrestleMania XL weekend.

"I was on RAW for a long time. In my head, I always think that RAW, another hour, a lot more opportunity. So, that feels a little bit more comfortable 'cause I'm familiar with it. SmackDown, in the United States, feels like it gets more viewers, a slightly bigger platform, and major championships are on their side. I would be happy with either," he said.

The interview was conducted before the 2024 Draft. Dijak's last match took place on Speed, where he lost to Xavier Woods.
