A WWE personality has predicted that a popular RAW Superstar can win the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match and then go on to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 41. Sam Roberts believes Jey Uso may see his fortunes change come 2025 and headline The Show of Shows.
Though Jey is one of the most popular stars today on the Monday night show, he has fallen short in high-stakes matches. Fans have been waiting to see the 38-year-old win singles gold for a long time, and even when he has found himself in title matches, he has failed to cross the finish line.
Sam Roberts thinks things could change next year for Jey Uso. On his NotSam Wrestling podcast, Roberts predicted that Jey could get into a story with Rhea Ripley for now and then find himself as the last man standing in the 2025 Royal Rumble Match. The WWE analyst believed this would pave the way for him to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 41.
"So Jey Uso's got the Rhea Ripley thing, then he's got Bloodline, wins Royal Rumble, faces Gunther at WrestleMania. I think the Rhea Ripley mixed tag team is a very big plus. I think it's a very good spot for him right now and can lead him to a spot, where by April, he's in the main event of Night One," Sam Roberts said. (34:13 - 34:36)

Vince Russo is not happy with WWE for booking Gunther vs. Randy Orton
While fans are jubilant with WWE's decision to have Randy Orton challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at Bash in Berlin 2024, Vince Russo is far from pleased with this direction.
On a recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Russo bemoaned how predictable the upcoming contest would be, with little chance of The Viper dethroning The Ring General.
"Those are very simple questions. We don't even ask them anymore. 'Oh my God, Randy Orton is gonna wrestle Gunther!' And they're gonna take the title off Gunther after three weeks, yeah, you think? Yeah, sit through the match between Randy Orton and Gunther so you can watch the unpredictable finish because we don't know what Triple H is gonna do. Oh my God, we have no idea who's gonna go over in that match," Russo said.
Regardless of the outcome's predictability, Gunther and Randy Orton are expected to bring the house down when they have the rematch of their controversial contest from WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024.
