Cody Rhodes did the unthinkable when he finished the story and defeated Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania XL. While millions around the world enjoyed his victory, a 38-year-old WWE star recently revealed that he was a bit jealous.

The Visionary had a big hand in Rhodes finishing his story at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Rollins teamed up with his former rival on Night One of the show, to face Roman Reigns and The Rock in a blockbuster tag team encounter. Further, Rollins also came out to the SHIELD theme song to distract Reigns and even out the numbers game in the main event.

During a recent appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Seth Rollins addressed Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship win at WrestleMania XL and stated that he was a bit "jealous". The former Universal Champion added that both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are "handed" over things in the company.

“I felt joy, probably a little bit of jealousy, but, like, I don't know. I've never really been the guy that's been handed the ball that way. For the last 10 years, it's been Roman, for the most part, and then Cody comes back, and you know, he kind of gets that treatment as well," stated Seth Rollins. [7:57 onwards]

Further, he added that he could have been the guy who got "handed" everything, but WWE never worked with him that way. He stated that this was the reason he had "professional jealousy" with both men.

"And I've always felt like I wanted to be that person, that I could be that guy, but I was never really—I—it just wasn't for me in the eyes of the people who were making those decisions. And so there was, like I said, this joy and this happiness that we'd kind of crossed a proverbial finish line, certainly a little bit of professional jealousy as well," he added [8:21 onwards]

Cody Rhodes has a massive ladder match set for Royal Rumble, while Seth Rollins' future looks blurry

After months of animosity between both men, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens are set to lock horns in a Ladder match at Royal Rumble. Both men squared off at Saturday Night's Main Event earlier, but a controversial finish ended up making headlines around the world.

With a ladder match set for the Undisputed WWE Championship, Cody Rhodes has a big task ahead. Kevin Owens has been portrayed with a 'fierce' character over the past few weeks, and winning the World Championship seems quite possible.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins has a lot of thinking to do as he recently suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of CM Punk. On RAW's debut on Netflix, Punk and Rollins brought their intense rivalry to a head but The Visionary could not get the job done as Punk walked away with the victory. This leaves Rollins with much to contemplate and an uncertain future heading into the Royal Rumble event.

Punk has made his intentions of going after the world titles clear, but it remains to be seen whether Rollins will be able to move on from the rivalry or if the two stars will butt heads once again heading into WrestleMania season.
