WWE hosted its biggest-ever Mania event with WrestleMania XL on the PLE’s 40th anniversary. The show saw several title changes and many legendary appearances which made the event a success. But, while many superstars had a memorable experience on the nights of April 6 and 7, 2024, a 38-year-old superstar has shared that his attempts to be one of them failed.
Chad Gable has emerged as one of the most hated heels on Monday Night RAW after his feud with Sami Zayn. The Olympian has received the same reaction from the audience that Kurt Angle received back in the day. However, he couldn’t secure a spot at WrestleMania XL, which Gable discussed on the Cheap Heat podcast hosted by Peter Rosenberg.
“Giving stories, giving options for how I could integrate myself into what's currently going on. But beyond that, what's important to me is not just giving them options and saying, 'Here's some ideas that I think you can do,' it's giving them actual content to use like doing the work myself," said Chad Gable. He also noted that he created his segments with Gunther before WrestleMania where he tried to insert himself in the Intercontinental Championship match. While Gable couldn’t receive what he wanted back then, WWE has now made him a part of one of its most popular storylines.
Chad Gable continues to be the only WWE superstar hunted by The Wyatt Sicks
The Wyatt Sicks have sent a shiver down the spine of almost every WWE Superstar on Monday Night RAW. While the eerie faction can jump anybody whenever it pleases, it stays clear of the paths of everyone but Chad Gable. The Olympian was left concussed backstage when Uncle Howdy debuted his crew and has been stalked thrice since.
The 38-year-old is deeply terrified and also made a complaint about the security measures on RAW to General Manager Adam Pearce. However, all he got was an angry reply asking him to ponder why he was the only one in the crosshairs of Uncle Howdy. It would be interesting to see if this chase builds up into a WrestleMania event and gets a match in Las Vegas next year.
