This week's WWE RAW not only covered the fallout from SummerSlam but continued some storylines that did not make it to the premium live event card. This includes The New Day's rivalry with The Final Testament.
In March 2022, Big E was sidelined with a neck injury, leaving The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to carry on as a tag team. An argument can be made that the once popular group was getting stale as of late, but on this week's episode of RAW, a new wrestler sided with the babyface team at the behest of Kingston. It is unclear though whether he is officially a member. The man in question is 30-year-old Odyssey Jones.
Taking to X/Twitter, Xavier Woods emphasized how he can see through The Final Testament's attempts at breaking apart The New Day, which would be a massive feather in the cap for Karrion Kross as they have been together for a decade. Kross retorted by pointing to how the seemingly new addition is not going to do any favors to Woods:
"I see you @realKILLERkross. I see right through you...," Xavier Woods wrote. "Good. But can you see the entire picture yet? It’s not in your favor and it has very little to do with me now," Karrion Kross countered.
Karrion Kross is hell-bent on getting Xavier Woods out of The New Day, claiming that he could help the latter reach greater heights which Woods was not able to do, unlike his brothers. Both Kofi Kingston and Big E are former WWE Champions.
Xavier Woods opened up on one thing that's been eating him up despite successful WWE run
In the last decade, The New Day has won the tag titles on numerous occasions and holds multiple records with the belts. They had remarkable feuds with other successful teams in the division as well, most notably The Usos.
Aside from his run as a member of The New Day, Xavier Woods was also the 2021 King of the Ring. However, Woods is yet to win a singles title in WWE. Here's what he said in a video clip he shared on social media, celebrating 20 years in the professional wrestling scene:
"I've been able to see my brothers, Big E and Kofi both go on to become heavyweight champions. I got to fulfill my boyhood dream of becoming King of the Ring. [...] I ended up winning King of the Ring and all of those doors were still shut to me for whatever reason. So 20 years deep, there's still things that I want to do. There's still things that I have to do, honestly, and at the top of that list is becoming a single champion in WWE. I've got to prove to myself that I can do it. I have to," he said.

Whether Karrion Kross finally gets inside Xavier Woods' head bears watching. If he manages to do so, suffice it to say that it could be The Herald of Doomsday's biggest achievement.
