39-year-old star reacts to Chelsea Green's bold intentions following WWE SmackDown

Chelsea Green pulled off a shocker on WWE SmackDown this week, and on account of that, she will receive her biggest opportunity to date since returning to the Stamford-based promotion in 2023.

Green defeated Mia Yim and Bianca Belair to qualify for the Women's 2024 Money in the Bank ladder match. She took to social media to share her thoughts about the blue brand's top prize in the women's division.

She claimed that after winning the briefcase, she was going to start a petition to bring back the WWE Divas Championship. Her husband, Matt Cardona, reacted to her comment with approval:

"I can see it now! 1/2 of the WWE Divas Champion…Matt Cardona!"

Chelsea Green also wants to cash in her contract when she wins on the Women's Champion of Friday Night SmackDown, Bayley. The Role Model is not booked for the July 6 event as of this writing. However, the titleholder will defend the belt at SummerSlam against the 2024 Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax.

Bayley gives underhanded congratulatory message to Chelsea Green following WWE SmackDown

On WWE's social media, Bayley spoke about Chelsea Green. For the past month, Piper Niven and Chelsea Green were after the Women's Champion. Niven challenged The Role Model in Glasgow on June 15 in a losing effort.

Bayley reminded Green of this while calling the latter a "sneaky snake" and claiming that she is happy for the potential number-one contender.

"You're a sneaky snake. You had your night tonight. Good luck in Toronto, you're gonna need it. Because if you're coming after me, if you didn't get a glimpse of what I'm capable of when I beat your friend Piper Niven last weekend, well you're really gonna see a different side of me, sister. So, enjoy your night for now."

Last year, Bayley competed in the Money in the Bank ladder match but wound up being handcuffed to Becky Lynch by eventual winner Iyo Sky. She ultimately won the Women's Championship from Sky at WrestleMania XL in April 2024.
