Paul Heyman found himself in a tricky position where he was cornered by Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga of The Bloodline. Thankfully, he was saved by a 39-year-old veteran before Cody Rhodes came to the rescue.
This week, on the opening segment of SmackDown, Paul Heyman called out Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to inform him that Roman Reigns will be entering the Royal Rumble to target Cody and the Undisputed WWE Title at WrestleMania. The segment was hijacked by Kevin Owens, who called Cody out for reconciling with The Rock and even entertaining Paul Heyman.
Cody Rhodes went to the crowd where KO was to pick up a fight, during which Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga entered the ring. Although it took longer than it should have, the 39-year-old veteran Jimmy Uso came out for the save. Unfortunately, Jacob Fatu took Jimmy Uso out, too.
Cody Rhodes managed to swoop in right at the end to save Heyman from a guaranteed repeat of June 28 - where The New Bloodline took him out.
Interestingly enough, there was no sign whatsoever of Solo Sikoa following his loss to Roman Reigns.
It looks like The New Bloodline isn't giving up just yet.
