A current SmackDown star has stated that leaving WWE was a blessing in disguise for her. The name in question is the current Women’s Champion, Nia Jax.
The Irresistible Force was released from her contract in November 2021, along with multiple other stars. She made a shocking return to the company last year during the Women's Royal Rumble match as the 30th entrant. She made her full-time return in September 2023 and is currently the WWE Women's Champion on SmackDown.
During a recent discussion with Cathy Kelley ahead of Bad Blood, Nia Jax reflected on her exit. She stated that leaving the company was the best thing that ever happened to her as she needed to take a bit of time off and find herself.
"It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. At first, yes, it was difficult to sit there and realize that I won't be out there entertaining everybody, on the road and enjoying the travels. It actually helped restore my passion and love for wrestling. I felt like I was starting to lose a little bit of the 'why?' I tell people all the time it was one of the best things that happened to me. I felt like I reset Nia Jax. Now, I'm the best Nia Jax ever. I'm only getting better. I needed to take that little bit of time off and find myself again," she said. [H/T Fightful]

Will Nia Jax's reign as WWE Women's Champion come to an end at WWE Bad Blood?
At the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, The Irresistible Force dethroned Bayley to become the new WWE Women's Champion. She earned the right to challenge for the title after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament. The Role Model beat Naomi in a number one contender's match on SmackDown last week, and she'll get her rematch at Bad Blood on October 5.
Bayley has beaten Nia Jax before, and it's possible that she could do it again this Saturday night. Tiffany Stratton is Ms. Money in the Bank, and there's a chance she could cash it in on Nia or Bayley at the upcoming PLE.
