This week’s episode of RAW saw a four-time WWE Champion get ambushed with a unique weapon backstage. The 46-year-old superstar had just finished giving an interview to Cathey Kelley. The man in question is Sheamus, who Pete Dunne attacked.
The Celtic Warrior’s feud with Dunne has reached its breaking point. Even Sheamus was ready to use a shillelagh to hit The Bruiserweight after the latter used the weapon to attack the Irishman for several weeks. The former WWE champion was seen carrying a shillelagh while speaking to Cathy Kelley.
Notably, he provoked Dunn once again by making the crowd scream “Call him Butch” chants. However, his joy of insulting his rival was shortlived as Pete Dunne blindsided Sheamus with a cricket bat. Notably, the attack occurred while Cathey Kelley was interviewing WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce just a few feet away.
Dunne previously used a cricket bat to attack Sheamus during their last singles match. This week, The Bruiserweight didn’t just stop with one strike and landed a few blows despite The Celtic Warrior lying hurt on the ground. Pearce called in some men to hold Dunne back and tried to check up on the Irishman.
Notably, before attending Sheamus, the RAW General Manager announced a ‘Last Monster Standing’ match between Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed. It would be interesting to see what arrangement he makes for these two bitter rivals who aren’t shy of using weapons on each other.
